Family chatter, sitting, staring at the pool
Cannonballs and laughter rob my thoughts
Anxiety like a corkscrew twisting off “pop”
Milkduds melting in the sun committing suicide
Escape is solace, not a sin, overdose on pesticide
Clown driving on sleeping pills gets a DUI
Picked him up three days ago from the loony bin
Images of glass buildings crashing down breaking
World stops spinning as the sun sucks it in
Plastic bag breathing, heart jumps out onto floor
Kick a field goal with it, call someone who cares
Go to bed on some nails, tomorrow there’ll be more
